You: The user of this service.

Service: The data check service provided by Check Buy Drive.

3. Scope of Use

Our service is exclusively for private vehicle buyers, not members of the Motor Trade.

Data extraction using automated software is prohibited.

Your use of this service must comply with our Terms.

4. Accuracy and Timeliness of Data

We take reasonable steps to provide accurate and up-to-date data.

Data is presented on an "as is" basis and should not be relied upon in isolation.

Updates from third-party sources (e.g., DVLA, insurance companies, police) may take up to 8 working hours to process.

5. Liability and Limitations

We make no guarantees about the correctness of the data provided.

Risks such as purchasing a "ringed" or "cloned" vehicle are not covered by our service.

Our liability is limited to the price paid for the report. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.

We are not liable for errors, omissions, or delays caused by third-party data providers (DVLA, insurers, police, etc.).

6. Reporting Stolen Vehicles

If flagged as stolen by the police, we may pass your details to law enforcement.

This applies only if the vehicle's registration number matches police records.

7. Intellectual Property

All service-related intellectual property is owned or licensed by us.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or redistribution is prohibited and may be unlawful.

8. Territory

Our service is available exclusively to residents of England, Scotland, and Wales ("Territory").

By using the service, you confirm that your residency complies with these Terms.

9. Cancellation and Consumer Protection

You cannot cancel the contract, and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England.

Disputes Disputes may be referred to arbitration, with an arbitrator appointed at our sole discretion without affecting your right to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales.

11. General

This agreement is between You and Us exclusively.

Sharing the data with third parties breaches the Terms, and such data will hold no warranty.

Our data does not provide an indication of a vehicle's roadworthiness.

12. ULEZ/LEZ DISCLAIMER

Check-Buy-Drive bases its advice to customers on whether or not charges apply for entering the newly expanded ULEZ on the latest information available. Due to ongoing political disputes over the expanded ULEZ, Check-Buy-Drive does not accept any liability whatsoever in connection with Check-Buy-Drive advice to customers that ULEZ is not applicable.

13. Report Expiry and Refunds

All purchased reports must be used within two (2) years from the date of purchase. Any reports not used within this period will automatically expire and no longer be available for use. We may, acting reasonably, issue a pro-rata refund for any report that has been partially used or otherwise remains outstanding.
Your statutory refund rights under UK consumer law remain unaffected.

14. Optional Package-Specific Data

Certain optional data elements, including but not limited to vehicle valuation data, may be included as part of specific report packages. This is supplementary only and not essential to the core report. Such data is provided on an “as available” basis and we make no guarantee that it will be present in every report. Availability may vary depending on third-party sources, package type, and the information held on the vehicle in question.
